How does Matthew 28:19 relate to the overall message of the Gospel?

I've been thinking a lot about the teachings of Jesus lately and how they apply to our lives. One verse in particular caught my attention, Matthew 28:19. It says, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." This verse seems to carry a powerful message, but I'm struggling to understand how it relates to the overall message of the Gospel. I know that the Gospel is about Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, and how through Him we can have eternal life. But how does this verse fit into all of that?
